The Trail. The Lost Coast Trail is an approximate 52 mile trail that travels along the shoreline of the Lost Coast. The trail can effectively be split into two sections. The northern section of the trail is a 24.4 mile stretch through the King Range National Conservation Area from Mattole Beach to Black Sands Beach.
